tyler technologies inc (TYL) Key Developments

Justice Courts in Harris County, Texas, Choose Tyler Technologies' Odyssey Court Case Management System

Tyler Technologies, Inc. has signed a contract with Harris County, Texas, to implement Tyler's Odyssey(R) court case management system in 16 justice of the peace courts. Odyssey will replace the courts' legacy system for all case types, including civil, criminal and traffic as well as various magisterial functions and administrative proceedings. Harris County is the third most populous county in the U.S., with 4.2 million residents, and is home to the city of Houston. The 16 Harris County Justice Courts operate as a high-volume system and require a powerful yet flexible court case management system like Odyssey. The system will serve approximately 400 users, including up to 250 concurrent users during peak periods. Together, the 16 Harris County Justice Courts form one of the justice of the peace jurisdictions in the U.S., accepting more than 500,000 new case filings each year. In addition to core Odyssey functionality Harris County chose to implement Odyssey SessionWorks(R) Judge and Clerk editions to streamline high-volume courts and present case information on the bench via touch-screen technology. Tyler's public access portal will provide case records and court dockets via the Justice Courts website, and will integrate with the county's existing e-commerce system for online payments of fines, fees and court costs. Odyssey also met Harris County's objective of finding a turnkey court case management system that allows modifications while still easily integrating with existing applications.

Kane County Chooses Tyler Technologies, Inc. to Implement Tyler's Odyssey(R) Court Case Management System

Tyler Technologies, Inc. has signed a contract with Kane County, Illinois, to implement Tyler's Odyssey(R) court case management system and give the county's justice community access to a single, integrated information system. The contract includes software licensing fees and professional services. Odyssey will replace the county's legacy system for all case types, helping Kane County move toward a paperless environment. The county selected Odyssey Case Manager, Attorney Manager, and Odyssey SessionWorks(R) Judge and Clerk Editions to present digital data on the bench via touch-screen technology. The county also selected Tyler's public access portal to provide access to case information. Kane County spent considerable time and resources searching for a new case management system to replace its legacy system, which could not meet the county's desire for a unified structure across offices of the Circuit Clerk, the Court, the State's Attorney and the Public Defender. To conduct its research and complete due diligence for a new case management system, Kane County formed the Judicial and Public Safety Strategic Planning and Technology Commission, whose mission was to find the single-best solution and technology partner for the county's justice community. By choosing Tyler as a single-source provider of Kane County's new court case management system rather than following a strategy involving multiple vendors, the county expects to save millions of dollars and will simplify future management and maintenance of the system.

Tyler Technologies, Inc. Signs Agreement with Altamonte Springs

Tyler Technologies, Inc. signed a seven year software-as-a-service (SaaS) agreement with Altamonte Springs, Florida, for Tyler's EnerGov(R) planning, permitting and licensing and Munis(R) enterprise resources planning (ERP) solutions to create efficiency by moving from about a dozen disparate systems to one integrated approach with Tyler. The agreement includes related professional services, training and support. EnerGov and Munis support the city's desire to consolidate systems for financial management, human resources, community development, and infrastructure services, while creating greater access to services for the residents of Altamonte Springs.
