Ontario Government Partners with Ubisoft to Support 800 New Jobs in Ontario

Ontario's partnership with Ubisoft in the creation of more than 330 highly skilled jobs with hundreds more on the way. The partnership leverages a $543-million investment from Ubisoft, which will create a total of 800 jobs by 2020. The Ontario government will build more successful partnerships through its new Jobs and Prosperity Fund. Included in the 2014 Ontario Budget, the new fund will create opportunities for workers in every region by helping businesses grow and create good jobs in Ontario. With support from the province, Ubisoft opened a production studio and performance capture facility in Toronto. Ubisoft also partnered with Sheridan College, where a Screen Industries and Research Training Centre is building people's skills and supporting growth across Ontario's interactive digital media industry. Strategically partnering with business is part of the government's comprehensive plan for a strong Ontario that builds people's talent and skills, builds a more dynamic business environment, builds new infrastructure and builds a more secure retirement for Ontarians.

gamigo AG Enters into Strategic Partnership with Ubisoft(R)

gamigo AG and Ubisoft announced the signing of a new partnership agreement. This partnership will include the integration of Ubisoft's online games in the gamigo portal, as well as the marketing of these games by gamigo AG. Ubisoft's multiplayer online games are close to getting integrated directly into, allowing registered gamigo users to play these titles for free. Revenue will be generated via the sale of digital items in the game. The proceeds will then be distributed among Ubisoft and gamigo. This cooperative effort will begin with the titles "Anno Online" and "The Settlers Online" from Blue Byte, an Ubisoft studio. Simultaneously the games portal will also be unveiling a renewed, modern and clear layout. In addition, all registered users can - as may all new users - also look forward to considerably improved and in some cases entirely new functions. gamigo is already working closely with numerous publishers and developers to successfully integrate their games into its games portal. These include Shanda Games (Dragon Nest), Changyou (General War), Studio100 (Vicky Online) and Whitemoon (Taern - Blut. Tod. Vergeltung.), Infernum (Dragon's Prophet) and now Ubisoft as well.
