URU Metals Limited, an exploration and development company, identifies and invests in mineral projects worldwide. It primarily explores for uranium, oil, nickel, zinc, molybdenum, vanadium, and gold deposits. The company holds a 100% interest in 5 exploration licenses in the Närke oil-uranium project covering an area of approximately 7,074 hectares near the town of Örebro, Sweden; and the Zebediela nickel sulphide project located in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. It also owns a 50% interest in the Burgersfort nickel project located in the Mpumalanga Province of South Africa; and an option to earn a 51% interest in Nueltin Lake gold-uranium project covering an area of approximately 27,000 hectares in the Nunavut Territory of Canada. The company was formerly known as Niger Uranium Limited and changed its name to URU Metals Limited in March 2011. URU Metals Limited was founded in 2007 and is based in Toronto, Canada.

URU Metals Limited Announces Consolidated Earnings Results for the Year Ended March 31, 2014

URU Metals Limited announced consolidated earnings results for the year ended March 31, 2014. For the year, the company reported operating loss of USD 658,000 against USD 1,743,000 a year ago. Loss before income tax from continuing operations was USD 388,000 against USD 4,162,000 a year ago. Loss was USD 571,000 against USD 9,080,000 a year ago. Total comprehensive loss attributable to owners of the company was USD 645,000 against USD 9,214,000 a year ago. Total basic and diluted loss per share was 0.43 US cents against 8.02 US cents, a year ago. Basic and diluted loss per share from continuing operations was 0.29 US cents against 3.67 US cents, a year ago. Cash flow used in operating activities was USD 913,000 against USD 301,000 a year ago. Acquisition of plant and equipment was USD 20,000 against USD 3,000 a year ago.

URU Metals Limited Appoints John Zorbas as Chief Executive Officer

URU Metals Limited announced the appointment of John Zorbas as Chief Executive Officer (non-board appointment) with immediate effect. Mr. Zorbas, a resource entrepreneur with a proven track record in the metals exploration and development industry, will provide further expertise to the URU Metals team as it focuses on the advancement of the low-cost high-tonnage Zebediela Nickel Sulphide Project in South Africa. In addition, the Board believes Mr. Zorbas's experience in the uranium exploration sector will be of particular importance in the development of the Närke Oil-Uranium Project in Sweden. Mr. Zorbas is currently Executive Chairman of NWT Uranium Corporation and Chief Executive Officer of Mercom Oil Sands plc. He is also a director of both ZorCorp Capital Holdings and Starline Capital Holdings Infrastructure Fund, and served as President of MGM Productions Group Inc.

URU Metals Limited announced that Roger Lemaitre, Chief Executive Officer, has resigned and will be leaving the company on January 10, 2014. Mr. Lemaitre is resigning at this time in order to pursue a career opportunity with another company. Mr. Lemaitre's resignation will occur after the closing of the due diligence period associated with URU's purchase of the remaining 26% interest in the Zebediela Nickel Project from Umnex Mineral Holdings Limited.
