Swiss Life Holding AG (SWX:SLHN) and Valiant Holding AG (SWX:VATN) are negotiating a distribution partnership, which may include taking a stake in Valiant Holding, Sonntag reported, citing sources familiar with the matter. Swiss Life declined to comment while Valiant was not immediately available to Reuters.

Valiant Pulls Out Of Merger Talks With BeKB

Valiant Holding AG said on December 16, 2012 that it has pulled out of discussions to merge with Berner Kantonalbank AG (BeKB). The company said that an analysis of the legal aspects showed that the deal could not be carried out in a reasonable space of time.
