Varengold Wertpapierhandelsbank AG announced that the supervisory board has appointed Dr. Bernhard Fuhrmann and Friedrich Verspohl to additional members of the management board with effect from April 15, 2013. Friedrich Verspohl will be responsible for the lending business with corporate and private clients. Dr. Bernhard Fuhrmann holds the functions of the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) as well as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Both appointments have been made in the context of the proposed granting of the commercial banking license. Both new members of the management board bring along in decades gained experience in the national and international banking business. Friedrich Verspohl was working for the 'Commerzbank', in South Africa and Indonesia. Dr. Bernhard Fuhrmann was responsible at different banks like 'Bayerische Hypovereinsbank', 'Deutsche Bank' as well as 'Eurohypo', interalia, in London for the risk- and finance divisions.

Varengold Wertpapierhandelsbank AG appointed Mr. Ole von Beust to the company's advisory board with effect from January 1, 2013. Ole von Beust was chairman of the parliamentary group of the CDU from 1993 until 2001. From 2001 to 2010 he acted as First Mayor in Hamburg. In 2007 and 2008 he also held the office as President of the Federal Council of Germany. Among other things, Ole von Beust currently works as a lawyer in Hamburg and will support Varengold Wertpapierhandelsbank AG in the areas of public relations and general advice. He will be at the company's disposal with its expert knowledge, experience and contacts and will give new ideas.
