Vista Land & Lifescapes, Inc. plans to spend up to PHP 40 billion on new projects here over the next six years. The company is setting up 12 Lumina projects in 2014 as part of the 24,000 housing units that the company targets to build all over the country. Part of the PHP 28 billion earmarked for projects in 2014 will be set aside for Lumina projects. The company will also build a Star Mall shopping complex in its 50- hectare Cerritos project in Mintal district, about 15 kilometers southwest of the city proper. The company will also put up a commercial complex within its Northpoint condominium project just outside Davao's central business district. Aside from these initiatives, Vista Land has also started building houses in its 27-hectare property in the northern part of the city which will be done in three phases.

Vista Land & Lifescapes, Inc. announced audited consolidated financial results for the year of 2013. For the year, the company reported net income jumped 15.44% to PHP 5.063 billion or PHP 0.593 per basic and diluted share last year from PHP 4.386 billion or PHP 0.522 per basic and diluted share in 2012. The same report showed the company has earmarked some PHP 21.6 billion for capital expenditures (capex) this year, 25.77% more than the PHP 17.173 billion it actually spent in 2013. Capex - which according to the report the company will fund "principally through existing cash, cash from operations, as well as through borrowings" - will consist of PHP 3.8 billion for land acquisition and advances to joint venture partners, PHP 4.6 billion for land development; and PHP 13.2 billion for construction. Revenues soared 22.54% to PHP 21.319 billion last year from PHP 17.397 billion in 2012 as real estate income surged 22.58% to PHP 20.025 billion from PHP 16.336 billion. Income before tax of PHP 5,474,791,525 compared with PHP 4,494,314,185 for the same period a year ago. Net cash provided by operating activities was PHP 3,387,567,004 compared with PHP 1,915,328,376 for the same period a year ago. Additions to land and improvements was PHP 2,381,776,456 compared with PHP 4,617,818,669 for the same period a year ago. Acquisition of property and equipments was PHP 164,209,976 compared with PHP 221,229,525 for the same period a year ago. System development costs was PHP 37,739,943 compared with PHP 38,491,554 for the same period a year ago. EBITDA was PHP 7,044,589,000 compared with PHP 5,906,619,000 for the same period a year ago. Return on assets of 6.0% compared with 6.1% for the same period a year ago. Return on equity was 10.4% compared with 10.1% for the same period a year ago. The company provided capital expenditure guidance for the full year of 2014. For the year, the company budgeted capital expenditures of PHP 21,600 million.
