The company’s Community Banking segment offers checking and market rate accounts, savings and time deposits, individual retirement accounts, and remittances; and lines of credit, auto floor plan lines, equity lines and loans, equipment and transportation loans, education and residential mortgage loans, and credit and debit cards. This segment also provides equipment leases, real estate and other commercial financing, small business administration financing, venture capital financing, cash management, payroll services, retirement plans, health savings accounts, and merchant payment processing and private label financing solutions, as well as purchases retail installment contracts. Its Wholesale Banking segment offers commercial loans and lines of credit, letters of credit, asset-based lending, equipment leasing, international trade facilities, trade financing, collection, foreign exchange, treasury management, investment management, institutional fixed-income sales, interest rate, commodity and equity risk management, insurance, corporate trust fiduciary and agency, and investment banking services, as well as online/electronic products. This segment also provides construction, and land acquisition and development loans; secured and unsecured lines of credit; interim financing arrangements; rehabilitation loans; affordable housing loans and letters of credit; loans for securitization; commercial real estate loan servicing; and real estate and mortgage brokerage services. The company’s Wealth, Brokerage, and Retirement segment offers financial advisory, wealth management, brokerage, retirement, trust, and reinsurance services. As of December 3, 2014, it operated through 8,700 locations and 12,500 ATMs; offices in 36 countries; and wellsfargo.com Website. The Company was founded in 1852 and is headquartered in San Francisco, California.

Well Fargo Private Bank Appoints Erik Davidson as New Chief Investment Officer

Well Fargo Private Bank in San Francisco has named Erik Davidson as chief investment officer. Davidson most recently served as deputy chief investment officer at the $1.5 trillion-asset Wells. He also previously worked as a managing director at Franklin Templeton Investments, which is based in San Mateo, Calif.

Wells Fargo and Co. Announces Board Changes

Wells Fargo and Co. announced that Debra Rossi, an executive vice president at the company, is assuming the Electronic Transactions Association presidency during an era when technology and new entrants are reshaping the acquiring business. It's also a period of rapid expansion for the ETA as tech companies join the ranks of ISOs and other acquirers that formed the association. The ETA also announced the election of six new board members and the appointment of members to the trade group's Presidential Advisory Council. All take office in January. Six directors were confirmed by member vote to two-year terms on the board. Those serving their first term are Eric Dunn, senior vice president, payments and commerce solutions, Intuit; Kevin Jones, president and CEO, Anovia Payments; and Chris Lee, president, North American strategic partnerships and emerging markets, Moneris Solutions. Second-Term directors are John Barrett, president, North America, NXGEN Payment Services; Joan Herbig, CEO, ControlScan; and Jennifer Miles, president, VeriFone Americas, VeriFone. Other board members are Donald Boeding, president, merchant services, Vantiv; Chuck Harris, president, Netspend; and Brian Mooney. Tim Tynan, CEO of Bank of America Merchant Services, was named to fill a vacancy on the board. Rossi announced appointments to the Presidential Advisory Council, who hold non-voting seats on the ETA board.

Wells Fargo & Co. Plans to Relocate Work Done in Philadelphia

Wells Fargo & Co. announced that its plans to relocate work done in Philadelphia will create 83 new jobs in Charlotte. The bank informed 120 employees in Philadelphia that their jobs will be eliminated next year. The work performed by that legal order processing group will be transferred to North Carolina and Arizona. A total of 83 jobs will be created in the Queen City, where Wells Fargo keeps its East Coast regional headquarters and has more than 22,000 employees. An additional 40 jobs will be created in Chandler, Ariz. The jobs will be filled in 2015. Workers will be given severance packages if they can't be placed in other jobs within the company. The changes won't begin until the first quarter of 2015.
