Its Oil & Gas segment offers construction, project management, maintenance, and lifecycle extension services to the upstream, midstream, and downstream markets. This segment’s activities include the execution of pipeline projects ranging from gathering and processing systems to oil and gas drilling activity; construction of pipelines to connect these resources to end-markets; and provision of integrated specialty construction, turnaround, repair, and maintenance services to integrated oil companies, independent refineries, product terminals, and petrochemical companies. The company’s Professional Services segment offers engineering, procurement, EPC, project management, integrity, and field services to the oil and gas and electric utility industries. Its Utility T&D segment provides maintenance and construction, repair, and restoration of utility infrastructure services in the electric and natural gas transmission and distribution. The company’s Canada segment offers construction, maintenance, and fabrication for piping projects, including integrity and supporting civil work, general mechanical and facility construction, American Petroleum Institute storage tanks, general and modular fabrication, electrical, and instrumentation projects in the Canadian energy industry. Willbros Group, Inc. was founded in 1908 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.

Willbros Group Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings and operational results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported net income from continuing operations of $7.0 million, or $0.14 per diluted share, on revenue of $543.6 million, compared to a net loss from continuing operations in the second quarter of 2013 of $2.6 million, or $0.05 per share, on revenue of $435.8 million. Second quarter results included a non-cash debt extinguishment charge of $948,000 or $0.02 per share. The company reported operating income of $18.5 million, a $12.2 million improvement compared to operating income of $6.3 million in the second quarter of 2013. Adjusted EBITDA of $28.3 million for the second quarter of 2014 was a $9.8 million improvement from the same period last year. Income from continuing operations before income taxes was $9.930 million compared to loss from continuing operations before income taxes of $1.436 million a year ago. Net loss was $3.652 million or $0.07 per diluted share compared to $6.901 million or $0.14 per diluted share a year ago. Cash used in operating activities was $47.798 million compared to cash provided by operating activities of $30.611 million a year ago. For the six months, the company reported revenue of $1,036.941 million compared to $906.756 million a year ago. Operating income was $30.906 million compared to $4.829 million a year ago. Income from continuing operations before income taxes was $14.652 million compared to loss from continuing operations before income taxes of $10.357 million a year ago. Income from continuing operations was $8.355 million compared to loss from continuing operations $14.095 million a year ago. Net loss was $10.259 million or $0.20 per diluted share compared to $2.709 million or $0.05 per diluted share a year ago. Cash used in operating activities was $48.084 million compared to cash provided by operating activities of $5.512 million a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations was $51.362 million compared to $27.361 million a year ago. As of June 30, 2014, the company spent $8 million against the capital budget. The company lowering the top end of its annual revenue guidance. The company expected annual revenue to range from $2.1 billion to $2.2 billion in 2014. The company approved capital expenditure budget for 2014 is $28.8 million. The company expects to continue its trend of sequential improvement in operating income in the third quarter.
