XL GROUP Public Limited Company, an insurance and reinsurance company, through its subsidiaries, provides property, casualty, and specialty products to industrial, commercial, and professional firms; and insurance companies and other enterprises worldwide. The company operates in three segments: Insurance, Reinsurance, and Life Operations. The Insurance segment offers property, primary and excess casualty, environmental liability, excess and surplus lines, construction, and surety insurance products, as well as property and casualty coverages. It also provides professional lines, such as directors’ and officers’ liability, errors and omissions liability, employment practices liability, and technology and cyber liability coverages; and specialty lines, including aviation and satellite, marine and offshore energy, fine art and specie, equine, product recall, political violence, political risk and trade credit, and North America inland marine insurance products. This segment also offers risk management solutions; and underwrites and prices various risks individually. The Reinsurance segment provides casualty, property risk, property catastrophe, marine, aviation, treaty, energy, marine, aviation, space, engineering, fidelity, surety, trade credit, and political risk products; and underwriting services. The Life Operations segment offers life reinsurance on business written by life insurance companies to facilitate them to manage mortality, morbidity, survivorship, investment, and lapse risks. The company markets its products and services through international, national, and regional producers, acting as the brokers and representatives of policyholders; and through general agents and independent agents acting on behalf of the company. XL GROUP Public Limited Company was founded in 1986 and is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.

XL Group plc, as announced that its US Crisis Management business has unveiled new Comprehensive Kidnap, Ransom and Extortion, or KRE, crisis policy. XL Group's US Crisis Management team is helping individuals and businesses safely navigate a riskier world with an agreement with one of world's top risk consultancies. Willis Group Holdings, Faber Global, XL Group and BRC Global Standards Launch Product Contamination Insurance Exclusively for the Food and Beverage Industry

Willis Group Holdings announced the launch of a new product contamination insurance proposition, in partnership with XL Group, Willis Limited's Food and Drink and Faber Global teams, and in association with BRC Global Standards -- the world's bigger provider of safety and quality standards programmes for the food and beverages sector. Recall Shield has been designed with the BRC Global Standards team to encourage and reward higher standards within the food and beverage industry. It is available exclusively to manufacturers that have attained an A or A+ grade against the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety across all of their sites. Recall Shield includes added protection for companies through XL Group's product contamination insurance offering which includes 'Response XL', a pro-active crisis and risk management service delivered by retained, specialist consultants. The exclusive scheme, via Willis and Faber Global, offers greater protection with enhanced coverage and a number of additional benefits, including: Pre-incident consulting and training workshops from crisis management specialists; discounted premiums; free BRC training courses; and free insurance protection audit from the Willis Food and Drink Practice Group.

XL Group Announces New Underwriting Agreement with ProHost USA

XL Group, and ProHost USA, Inc., have announced a new underwriting agreement to provide a packaged insurance solution designed for dining and family restaurants. XL Group's North America Program business teams up with program administrators like ProHost USA to underwrite, market, and administer insurance products targeted at niche markets or classes of business. ProHost provides property, general liability, boiler and machinery, and liquor liability insurance coverages to restaurants ranging from fine dining to casual family dining.
