ITT Exelis has been awarded a contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane to supply up to 4,500 Generation 3 high performance advanced image intensifier tubes to be used in existing ground and aviation night vision devices for the United States Special Operations Command. This advanced image intensifier capability, offers unprecedented quality and performance, and provides Special Forces operators with the enhanced technical advantage they require during night operations.

Exelis, Inc. received a $9.4 million contract from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company to supply the Continuous Wave Illuminator (CWI) subsystem for the F-16 Fighting Falcon. The Exelis CWI subsystem is a special purpose transmitter that works with the aircraft fire control radar and mission computer to guide semi-active missiles when launched. Using RF (radio frequency) energy, the system illuminates airborne targets to ensure the missile finds its target. This newly developed technology is less than half the volume and 60% of the weight of the legacy subsystem used on older fighter aircraft. The Exelis CWI subsystem uses the latest technology for its high-voltage power supply, digital control, microwave signal generation and power amplifier circuits. Exelis Electronic Systems in Clifton, will perform the manufacturing work under this contract. Deliveries will be completed by December 2014.

The Board of Directors for Exelis, Inc. has declared a cash dividend of $0.1033 per share for the second quarter of 2013. The dividend will be payable on July 1, 2013 to shareholders of record on May 24, 2013.
