Xplore Technologies Corp. Receives Purchase Order for its Bobcat Tablets

Xplore Technologies Corp. has secured its first purchase order of more than half a million dollars for its Bobcat tablets from a leading U.S. railroad transportation company. The railroad selected the fully-rugged Bobcat to help achieve cost savings and increased mobility in its yard operations by consolidating from a two-device model to a one device operation. The Bobcat was chosen for its fully-rugged IP65 rating and extended 14-hour battery life - both useful features for efficient operations in a railroad yard. In addition to the tablets, the railroad ordered the tablet's docking solution and optional secondary battery. The Bobcat is Xplore's newest addition to its product line-up, features a slim, lightweight design and runs Windows 7 or 8.1 operating systems. Certified MIL-STD-810G and rated dust and water resistant, the Bobcat can withstand a five-foot drop and operate in extreme cold and heat. As the most expansive tablet on the market, the Bobcat comes standard with two full-sized USB 3.0s, micro SD and micro HDMI-out ports, as well as a micro SIM card reader and RJ-45 gigabit Ethernet plug-ins.

Xplore Technologies Receives Additional $2.3 Million in Orders

Xplore Technologies Corp. announced it received an additional $2.3 million order for its iX104 ultra-rugged tablets from a leading, unnamed natural gas provider in the U.S. The total amount purchased by the natural gas provider now stands at $4.3 million.
