Las Vegas Railway Express, Inc. announced that John McPherson has been elected Chairman of the Board. Former Chairman Gil Lamphere remains on the board as Director. Mr. McPherson joined the Board of Directors of CSX Corporation in July 2008. He served as President and COO of Florida East Coast Railway.

Las Vegas Railway Express, Inc. proposed to approve an amendment to the Certificate of Incorporation of the company to effect a reverse stock split of the company's common stock, at a ratio of twenty-for-one, without further approval or authorization of the company's shareholders, provided that the Board of Directors determines to effect the reverse stock split and such amendment is filed with the Secretary of State of Delaware no later than six months from the date of the Special Meeting, at the EGM to be held on June 11, 2013.

On May 1, 2013, George Rebensdorf was elected to the board of directors of Las Vegas Railway Express, Inc. Mr. Rebensdorf, 58, is a finance and M&A professional with over 25 years of experience in all phases of industry, both domestically and internationally.
