IP (Internet Protocol) functionally will also allow tablets and other display-capable electronics to access and interact with the IP network software. The suite of services is to be priced at less than what North American families typically pay for monthly home phone service. Subscribers receive up to 4 home phone lines that seamlessly integrate with family wireless smartphones, allowing users to answer home phone lines from their smartphones. The Home IP Network Services will be compatible with Android, iPhone and other current smartphone devices. Demonstration products will be available in October, with first customer availability in first quarter of 2013. The company expects low-cost home phones by mid 2013 to provide the functionality at a relatively low cost to consumers.
