ILJIN Materials Co., Ltd. engages in the production and sale of elecfoils for use as a component in electronic products worldwide. The company’s elecfoil products include I2B for rechargeable anode current collectors in rechargeable lithium batteries; IHT for flexible printed circuit boards (PCB) and flexible copper clad laminates (CCL) used in phones, LCDs, and other liquid panels; IUT for PCBs used in computer CPUs and other complex memory devices; I2K for anode current collectors in rechargeable batteries; IKD for packaging substrates; ICS for PCB and CCL used in televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, and computers; and INS for use in environmental-friendly halogen-free circuit boards. It also provides light emitting diodes for cell phones, displays, and automobile lightings; and rechargeable lithium battery materials, such as lithium manganese oxide manufactured by wet and dry processes, as well as engages in the design and construction of factories. In addition, the company is involved in the development of the Boleo project that produces copper, zinc, cobalt, manganese, and other metals with approximately 75 million tons of proven and probable reserves located in Santa Rosalia, Mexico. The company was formerly known as Iljin Elecfoil Co., Ltd. and changed its name to ILJIN Materials Co., Ltd. in 2010. ILJIN Materials Co., Ltd. was founded in 1987 and is based in Seoul, South Korea.
