Ltd. On May 5, 2009, Toshiba Corp. announced that in partnership with its sole distributor in the UAE Al Futtaim Electronics, it has opened its first primary store in the Middle East at Dubai Festival City. The store carries a selection from the Toshiba product portfolio ranging from televisions, laptops, projectors, DVD players, PC options and peripherals. Joint Ventures NRG Energy, Inc. has formed a joint venture, Nuclear Innovation North America LLC, with Toshiba Corp. to develop nuclear power projects in North America. On October 23, 2009, Nakaya Microdevices Corporation, Amkor Technology, Inc. and Toshiba Corp. announced that they have signed definitive agreements for the formation of a joint venture to provide semiconductor assembly and final testing services in Japan.
