Supplemental and specialized health-related services for those residents requiring 24-hour supervision or assistance with activities of daily living, are provided by third-party providers who are reimbursed directly by the resident or a third-party payer (such as Medicare, Medicaid, or long-term care insurance). Seasonality Winter months tend to result in various residents exiting the company’s residences due to illnesses requiring hospitalization or skilled nursing facility services.
