In 2012, the company’s subsidiary, TracFone acquired 100% of the mobile virtual network business of Simple Mobile, Inc. In 2014, the company’s subsidiary, TracFone, acquired substantially all assets of Start Wireless Group, Inc., a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in the United States operating under the Page Plus brand, that provides services to approximately 1.4 million customers, and offers, among others, prepaid plans for voice, messaging and data. As of December 31, 2013, the company had approximately 23.7 million wireless subscribers, all of which were prepaid customers.
