The company’s two principal banks include The Bank of New York Mellon, a New York state chartered bank, which houses its Investment Services businesses, including Asset Servicing, Issuer Services, Treasury Services, Broker-Dealer and Advisor Services, as well as the bank-advised business of Asset Management; and BNY Mellon, National Association (BNY Mellon, N.A.), a nationally-chartered bank, which houses its Wealth Management business. The company’s two principal U.S. banks engage in trust and custody activities, investment management services, banking services, and various securities-related activities. It has four other U.S. bank and/or trust companies concentrating on trust products and services across the United States, including The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Company, National Association; BNY Mellon Trust of Delaware; BNY Mellon Investment Servicing Trust Company; and BNY Mellon Trust Company of Illinois. Majority of its asset management businesses, along with its Pershing businesses, are direct or indirect non-bank subsidiaries of BNY Mellon, N.A. Investment Management This segment includes the company’s affiliated investment management boutiques, wealth management business, and global distribution companies. This segment is responsible, through various subsidiaries, for institutional, intermediary, retirement and retail investment management, distribution and related services across North America, EMEA, and the Asia-Pacific. The investment management boutiques offer a range of equity, fixed income, cash and alternative/overlay products. In addition to the investment subsidiaries, this segment includes BNY Mellon Investment Management EMEA Limited, BNY Mellon Investment Management Hong Kong, and BNY Mellon Investment Management Singapore, which are responsible for the investment management and distribution of locally registered products, as well as the Dreyfus Corporation and its affiliates, which are responsible for the U.S. investment management and distribution of retail mutual funds, separately managed accounts and annuities. The company, through BNY Mellon Wealth Management, offers a range of investment management, wealth and estate planning and private banking solutions to help clients protect, grow and transfer their wealth. It provides these services through a network of offices in the U.S. and select locations around the world. Clients include high-net-worth individuals and families, family offices, charitable gift programs, endowments, and foundations. Investment Services This segment provides global custody and related services, broker-dealer services, global collateral services, corporate trust and depositary receipt and clearing services, as well as global payment/working capital solutions to global financial institutional clients. The company’s suite of financial solutions includes global custody, global fund services, securities lending, investment manager outsourcing, performance and risk analytics, alternative investment services, securities clearance, collateral management, corporate trust, American and global depositary receipt programs, cash management solutions, payment services, liquidity services and other linked revenues, principally foreign exchange, global clearing and execution, managed account services, and global prime brokerage solutions. The company’s clients include corporations, public funds and government agencies, foundations and endowments; global financial institutions, including banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, insurance companies and central banks; financial intermediaries and independent registered investment advisors; and hedge fund managers. It helps its clients service their financial assets through a network of offices and operations centers in 35 countries across 6 continents.
