Consumer This segment consists of providing strategic and legacy products and services to residential consumers. The company’s strategic products and services offered to these customers include its broadband, wireless and video services, including its Prism TV services. Its legacy services offered to these customers include local and long-distance service. Business This segment consists of providing strategic and legacy products and services to commercial, enterprise, global, and governmental customers. The company’s strategic products and services offered to these customers include its private line, broadband, Ethernet, MPLS, voice over Internet protocol (VoIP), and network management services. Its legacy services offered to these customers include local and long-distance service. Wholesale This segment consists of providing strategic and legacy products and services to other communications providers. The company’s strategic products and services offered to these customers are primarily private line (including special access), dedicated Internet access, digital subscriber line (DSL), and MPLS. Its legacy services offered to these customers include the resale of its services, the sale of unbundled network elements (UNEs), which allow its wholesale customers to use its network or a combination of its network and their own networks to provide voice and data services to their customers, long-distance and switched access services and other services, including billing and collection, pole rental, floor space and database services. Data Hosting This segment consists primarily of providing colocation, managed hosting and cloud hosting services to commercial, enterprise, global and governmental customers. Products and Services The company’s products and services include local and long-distance, broadband, private line (including special access, which it markets to wholesale and business customers), MLPS, data integration, managed hosting (including cloud hosting), colocation, Ethernet, network access, public access, wireless, video services, and other ancillary services. The company offers its customers the ability to bundle together various products and services. It offers integrated and unlimited local and long-distance services. The company’s customers could also bundle two or more services, such as broadband, video (including DIRECTV through its strategic partnership), voice and Verizon Wireless (through its strategic partnership) services.
