According to the SPA, starting from November 1, 2009 both airlines agreed on a special settlement for transfer passengers from Russian regions to Germany and further to other destinations within Lufthansa's broad route network, and, on the other hand, for the passengers from Germany arriving in Moscow who will be able to continue their trip with Transaero flights. On October 27, 2009, Continental Airlines Inc. has entered into bilateral commercial agreements with all of the existing 24 Star Alliance members. These agreements define the business relationships underpinning the Star Alliance brand and services, including reciprocal earning and redemption of frequent flyer miles. In addition, Continental has signed code-sharing agreements with four Star Alliance members-United, Deutsche Lufthansa AG, Air Canada and bmi. In November 2009, Deutsche Lufthansa AG announced that following the introduction of its summer 2010 timetable, it is introducing, together with its codeshare partner Ethiopian Airlines, two additional weekly flights between Frankfurt and the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
