INFRASTRUCTURE This activity is carried on through the development and management of toll roads and parking lots (through Cintra) and airport management. Ferrovial –through Cintra- manages toll roads (approximately 1,700 kilometres) in Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Chile, Canada and the United States. The company is involved in managing four airports - in the UK, Australia and Chile. Ferrovial, through its subsidiary Cintra, operates as a private-sector car park development company in Spain and manages approximately 212,000 spaces, mainly in Spain. Toll Roads: Cintra manages 17 toll road projects (1,700 kilometres) in Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Chile, the U.S. (Chicago) and Canada. In June 2004, Ferrovial and Australia’s Macquarie Infrastructure Group (MIG) reached an agreement to float toll road subsidiary Cintra (owned 60% and 40%, respectively). Cintra, a toll road and cark park management subsidiary of Ferrovial, has landed a 50-year contract to develop the TTC-35 High Priority Trans-Texas Corridor in the U.S. Cintra engages in the design, construction, finance, maintenance and operation of the infrastructure. The multi-use transport corridor would include toll roads, plus freight and high-speed train lines and utility lines (gas, power, telecommunications, water, etc.). In June 2004, Cintra has reached an agreement to acquire from Europistas its 10% stake in Ausol, which holds the concessions for the Malaga-Estepona and Estepona-Guadiario toll roads. Airports: The company is involved in managing four airports - in the U.K., Australia and Chile, which handle 35 million passengers per year. Car parks: Ferrovial, through its subsidiary Cintra Aparcamientos, operates as a private-sector car park development company in Spain and manages approximately 200,000 spaces in 128 cities in Spain, Andorra and Puerto Rico. The company provides its services in various business areas: construction and operation of off-street car parks; control and management of onstreet parking; construction and sale of private car parks; and additional services, such as supply and maintenance of meters and other equipment. SERVICES Ferrovial´s services division focuses on three business lines: urban services (street cleaning, industrial and municipal waste collection and processing and green spaces), facility management and infrastructure maintenance. Ferrovial offers these services in Spain, Portugal and the UK. Urban services: Ferrovial`s urban services division covers a total of 786 municipalities in Spain, including A Coruna, Alicante, East Barcelona, Granada, Huelva, Madrid (several districts), Murcia, Pontevedra, Vigo, Vitoria and Zamora. In Portugal, the company serves Albufeira, Valongo, Terras Frias, Parque Expo, Torres Novas, Planalto Bairao and Quarteira. The division also maintains 29 million square metres of green areas in cities, such as Barcelona, Bilbao, Burgos, Cadiz and Madrid, in Spain, and Porto and Cascais, in Portugal. The main contracts include street cleaning of the Sanchinarro and Las Tablas developments in Madrid; waste collection and street cleaning in Nigran (Pontevedra) and Adra (Almeria); the renewal of the waste collection and cleaning contract in Sant Vicenc dels Horts (Barcelona); management of green areas in Murcia; and maintenance of the Juan Carlos I park in Madrid. The main industrial services contracts include the treatment of scrap and wood waste at the Ford plant in Valencia (in addition to waste management at the facilities); management of Acerinox`s waste in Cadiz; extension of the landfill contracts in the Vega district in Sevilla, Oris in Barcelona, and Colmenar Viejo in Madrid; and the construction and operation of waste treatment plants in Puertollano, Hostalets de Pierola, Guadalajara and Fuenlabrada. Facility Management: In Spain, the company manages 2,700 buildings (approximately 4.4 million square meters), including hospitals, museums, universities, prisons, shopping malls, sports facilities, factories, offices and landmark buildings.
