Its SecureSphere platform secures applications and data assets in, physical and virtual data centers from hackers and malicious insiders, provides a route to address regulatory compliance and establishes a repeatable process for data risk management; is designed on a common, modular platform that provides centralized management, in-depth analytics and customizable reporting and offers multiple deployment options; and incorporates its proprietary profiling, universal user tracking, transparent inspection, and correlated attack validation technologies. The company’s solution includes database security, file security, and Web application security, which differentiate the company as providing the data center security offering in the marketplace: Database Security: Provides visibility and control through structured business data repositories, including database data usage, vulnerabilities and access rights and enables security, audit, risk and IT professionals to improve data security and address compliance requirements. File Security: Provides visibility and control through unstructured business data repositories, including file ownership, usage and access rights and enables security, audit, risk and IT professionals to improve file data security and address compliance requirements. Web Application Security: Protects Web applications from large-scale cyber attacks, adapts to evolving threats to prevent data breaches and addresses compliance requirements. SecureSphere Web Application Firewall (WAF), Database Activity Monitoring, and File Activity Monitoring gateways are deployed in the network near the assets they are meant to protect. The File and Database gateways also work in conjunction with SecureSphere Agents that capture activity on the database and file servers themselves. The company’s SecureSphere solution is managed by a centralized management server, which incorporates information from ThreatRadar and security updates from the Imperva Application Defense Center (ADC). Database Security The company’s database security products are designed to secure data in structured repositories in the data center. Its database security products are sold as physical or virtual appliances based on the feature and traffic capacity requirements of its customers. The company also offers add-on products for its appliances that are sold separately. Its database products cover various major enterprise database platforms, such as Oracle Corporation (Oracle), Oracle Exadata, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2 (on Linux, UNIX, Windows, z/OS, and DB2/400), IBM IMS on z/OS, IBM Informix, IBM Netezza, SAP AG Sybase, Teradata, Oracle MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Progress OpenEdge.
