The Power Generation and Industrial segment primarily serves the energy and utility end markets and other end markets through the installation and construction of power plants, wind farms, solar farms, related electrical transmission infrastructure, ethanol facilities, and various types of industrial infrastructure. The Other segment primarily includes small business units that perform construction services for various end markets in Mexico and elsewhere internationally. Services The company’s core services are the engineering, building, installing, maintaining, and upgrading of infrastructure for communications, power generation, and utility customers. It provides similar services to each of these customers, such as: Build: The company builds infrastructure projects for customers across a range of industries. It engages in building natural gas, crude oil, and refined product transport pipelines; underground and overhead distribution systems, including trenches, conduits, cable, and power lines, which provide wireless and wireline communications; electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution systems; renewable energy infrastructure, including wind and solar farms; and compressor and pump stations and treatment plants and heavy industrial plants. Install: The company installs electrical and other energy distribution and transmission systems, power generation facilities, buried and aerial fiber optic cables, coaxial cables, copper lines, and satellite dishes in various environments for its customers. In connection with its installation work, the company deploys and manages network connections that involve its customers’ hardware, software, and network equipment. Maintain and Upgrade: The company offers 24 hour, 7 day, 365 days a year maintenance and upgrade support to its customers. Its service offerings include the regular maintenance of its customers’ distribution facilities, networks, and infrastructure, including natural gas and petroleum pipeline, wireless, power generation, and electrical distribution and transmission infrastructure. The company also provides emergency services for accidents or storm damage. Its upgrade work ranges from routine replacements and upgrades to major overhauls. Customers For the year ended December 31, 2012, the company’s major customers were AT&T; DIRECTV; Mid-American Energy; Energy Transfer Company; Duke Energy; DCP Midstream; Dominion Virginia Power; Enbridge, Inc.; Chesapeake Midstream Partners LP; and enXco.
