The company is also a provider of testing, assessment, and qualification services in various primary markets, including the U.K., under the brand name, Edexcel. Professional The company’s Professional education business is focused on publishing, training, testing, and certification for professionals. Its Professional education business publishes primary computer, information technology, and business titles. The company’s imprints include Addison-Wesley Professional, Financial Times-Prentice Hall, New Riders, Peachpit Press, Prentice Hall, Que and Sams, Wharton School Publishing, and Cisco Press. The company’s professional testing business, Pearson VUE is a global leader in electronic testing for regulatory and certification boards, providing a suite of services from test development to test delivery and data management. Pearson VUE offers exams through a network of test centers in 163 countries, delivering the NCLEX exam for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, the GMAT for the Graduate Management Admissions Council, and various information technology exams, such as Cisco and CompTIA. THE FT GROUP This division provides business and financial news, data, comment and analysis, in print and online, to the international business community. This division includes the Financial Times newspaper and FT.com Website, a range of specialist financial magazines and online services. This division provides a range of data, analysis, and services through various print, digital, and mobile channels to an audience of internationally-minded business people and financial institutions. The Financial Times is an international daily business newspaper, with five editions in the U.K., the Continental Europe, the U.S., the Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East. Its main sources of revenue are from sales of the newspaper, (both in print and online), advertising, and conferences. The Financial Times is complemented by FT.com, which sells content and advertising online, and which charges subscribers for detailed industry news, comment, and analysis, while providing general news and market data to an audience. FT Business publishes specialist information on the retail, personal, and institutional finance industries through titles, including Investors Chronicle, Money Management, Financial Adviser, and The Banker. Joint Ventures and Associates This division also has various associates and joint ventures, such as 50% interest in The Economist Group, publisher of a weekly business and current affairs magazine; and 33% interest in Vedomosti, a Russian business newspaper. Dispositions In February 2014, this division sold Mergermarket, which provided proprietary forward-looking insights and intelligence to businesses and financial institutions.
