Segments The Cellular Business segment includes all services provided over its cellular networks including airtime, interconnect, roaming and content services. In addition, the Cellular Business segment’s activities include sales of relevant equipment, including cellular handsets, tablets, (including WIFI only tablets) laptops, datacards, modems including built-in modems in laptops and related equipment and accessories. As of December 31, 2013, the company had approximately 2,956 thousand cellular subscribers. The Fixed-Line Business segment includes various services provided over fixed-line networks, including ISP services that provides access to the Internet, as well as home WiFi networks, including VAS such as anti-virus and anti-spam filtering; fixed-line voice communication services provided through VOB; Transmission services and PRI; and ILD services, outgoing and incoming international telephony, hubbing, roaming and signaling and calling card services. In addition, this segment includes sales of related equipment such as domestic routers, smartboxes and related equipment. The company markets its services mainly under the Orange brand which is licensed to the company and has been used in other markets around the world to promote telecommunications services. The company also markets some of its Fixed-Line Services under the 012 Smile brand and some of its Cellular Services under the 012 Mobile brand. The company operates its GSM network in the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz bands and the UMTS network in the 2100 MHz band and in the 900 MHz band. Strategy The company intends to continue to create value for its shareholders, customers and employees. In order to accomplish this, the company intends to: pursue its evolution into a diversified multi-service communications group; drive customer satisfaction through customer centric strategy; increasing network speed, quality and efficiency; improve efficiency; and growth in mobile broadband. Services and Products Cellular Services: The company’s major service is cellular telephony service – provided on both its 2G and 3G networks. The company’s basic offer includes domestic mobile calls, international dialing, roaming, voice mail, call waiting, call forwarding, caller identification, conference calling, short message services (SMS), intelligent network services (such as VPN and funtone), fax transmission, mobile broadband at speeds of up to 42 Mbps and other services as a mobile portal of content services and applications including a selection of television, games and music under the Orange brand. The company offers an HD Voice service. This technology extends the frequency range of audio signals transmitted over the mobile voice call, resulting in higher quality speech transmission. HD voice is supported on its network for a growing range of mobile handsets, including all the most advanced smartphones that support this feature. Fixed-line Services: The company offers fixed-line services that include ISP services as well as home Wi-Fi networks, ILD services, transmission services and VoB telephony services. ISP services: As an Internet service provider, the company offers its customers ISP services and as a reseller the company offers Internet access. The company’s ISP services offering includes email accounts, home WiFi networking as well as additional value added services. ILD services: As an international long distance provider, the company offers its residential and business customers international telephony services including direct international dialing services, international and domestic pre-paid and post-paid calling cards, and call-back services. Transmission: The company provides fixed-line transmission and data capacity services. The company’s fixed-line capacity also includes capacity which the company leases from other land-line telecommunications service providers.
