Remy Cointreau S.A. engages in the production and distribution of wine, cognac, liqueurs, champagne, whisky, and spirits. It operates in Europe, North America, South America and Asia. The brands have been separated into five divisions, which cover the main products and brands that include: Cognac: The company offers Remy Martin. Liqueurs: The company offers Cointreau, Passoa, Bols Liqueurs, Galliano, and Pisang Ambon. Spirits: The company offers Bols vodka, Metaxa and Saint Remy brandy, Mound Gay rum, Bols and Bokma genevers and Saint James. Champagne and Wines: The company offers Piper-Heidsieck, Charles Heidsieck, and Piper Sonoma Californian wines. Partner brands: These are brands not owned by the company but which are distributed by its own network, consisting mainly of Highland Distillers scotch whiskies, Antinori wines in the U.S., and distribution of wines in the Netherlands. In April 2005, Remy Cointreau and its partner Takirra have announced the project of an alliance with CEDC, the distributor of wine and spirits in Poland. History The company was formerly known as Cognac Remy Martin and changed its name to Remy Cointreau S.A. in 1991.
