CNP would acquire 50% shareholding in the existing life insurance captive of Barclays-Barclays Viday Pensiones that operates in Spain and Portugal. In addition to that, CNP and Barclays would launch new insurance operations in Italy to build upon the business in this country. History CNP Assurances was founded in 1959.
