Toshiba Corporation (TSE:6502) entered into an agreement to acquire GaN-on-Silicon technology and related assets from Bridgelux Inc. on April 22, 2013. The GaN-on-Silicon assets and the related Bridgelux employees will remain at Bridgelux's headquarters in Livermore. 40 of Bridgelux’s employees or 15% of Bridgelux’s total workforce will join Toshiba.

AEON Financial Service Co., Ltd. (TSE:8570) entered into an agreement to acquire Toshiba Finance Corporation from Toshiba Corporation (TSE:6502) for JPY 6.1 billion on April 11, 2013. The share transfer will be complete at May 16, 2013.

Toshiba Corporation (TSE:6502) sold Toshiba Mobile Disposal Co., Ltd. in March 2012.

Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd. (TSE:5802) acquired the remaining 20% stake in Broad Net Mux Corporation from Toshiba Corporation (TSE:6502) on January 1, 2013. Following the completion of the deal, Broad Net Mux Corporation became a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Electric Industries. Broad Net Mux Corporation reported sales of ¥12.6 billion, total assets of ¥6.49 billion and net assets of ¥2.97 billion for the year ended March 31, 2012.
