The shareholders of Heineken NV (ENXTAM:HEIA) authorized a share repurchase program at its Annual General Meeting on April 25, 2013. Under the plan, the company will repurchase up to 57,600,261 shares, representing 10% of its issued share capital. The minimum price to be paid per share shall be the nominal value of the share, and the maximum price to be paid per share shall be 110% of the opening price quoted for the shares in the Official Price List (Officiële Prijscourant) ... of Euronext Amsterdam on the date of the transaction or, in the absence of such a price, the latest price quoted therein. Repurchases shall be made on the stock exchange or otherwise. Repurchased shares may be used in connection with the long-term variable award and short-term variable pay for the members of the Executive Board and the long-term variable award for senior management, but may also serve other purposes, such as acquisitions.
