International Business Machines Corporation (NYSE:IBM) entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Star Analytics, Inc. from Hummer Winblad Venture Partners VI, L.P. of Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners and other shareholders on February 1, 2013. Star Analytics, Inc. will become part of Business Analytics division of IBM. The deal is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2013.
