Total SA(ENXTPA:FP) agreed to acquire Fuel Retail Network in Egypt from Royal Dutch Shell PLC(LSE:RDSA) on May 15, 2013. The sale is consistent with Shell's strategy to concentrate its downstream footprint on a smaller number of assets and markets. The deal is not expected to be completed for several months.

Royal Dutch Shell plc (LSE:RDSA) agreed to unknown stake in Peru LNG S.R.L., 20% in Atlantic LNG and 25% in Bahia de Bizkaia Electricidad Sociedad Limitada from Repsol, S.A. (CATS:REP), Atlantic 2/3 Holdings, LLC and Repsol Exploracion Peru SA for $6.7 billion on February 26, 2013. The deal also includes a gas-fueled power plant in Spain. Shell will pay $4.4 billion in cash and assume $2.3 billion in financial leases and debt for a package of assets that would exclude ... a Canadian LNG import terminal. Repsol and Shell have also agreed a 10 year LNG supply contract to the Canaport regasification terminal, which remains within the Repsol Group. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other conditions precedent and is expected to close by the end of the year 2013 or early 2014. The funds obtained from the sale of the LNG assets will allow Repsol to boost its upstream organic growth strategy. As on April 26, 2013, the transaction has been approved by CADE. GlassPoint Solar, Inc announced that it has raised $26,000,000 in a series B round of funding led by new investors RockPort Capital Partners and Nth Power LLC on December 11, 2012. New investor Royal Dutch Shell plc along with existing investor Chrysalix Energy also invested in the transaction.
