P&Q North Kosh LLC acquired Wisconsin quarry from Vulcan Materials Company (NYSE:VMC) on February 4, 2013. Michaels Materials will operate the facility.

An unknown buyer acquired land in California and quarry in Virginia from Vulcan Materials Company (NYSE:VMC) for $74 million on January 17, 2013. In a related transaction Plum Creek Timber Company acquired 10.5% royalty interest of production at four aggregates quarries in South Carolina from Vulcan Materials Company for $75 million. The proceeds from these transaction will be used by Vulcan to pay off their debts.

Vulcan Materials Company (NYSE:VMC) acquired two quarries in Texas and Georgia for $80 million in cash on January 17, 2013. In a related transaction, Vulcan Materials Company sold excess land in California, a small quarry in rural Virginia and a percentage of future production at four quarries in South Carolina to Plum Creek Timber Co. Inc. (NYSE:PCL).
