Williams Partners L.P. (NYSE:WPZ) announced a private placement of 3,000,000 common shares at a price of $47.66 per share for gross proceeds of $142,980,000 on March 5, 2013. The transaction will include participation from Williams Companies, Inc.
Marubeni Corporation (TSE:8002) entered into an agreement to acquire 49% interest in floating production project for Tubular Bells Field in the Gulf of Mexico from Williams Partners L.P. (NYSE:WPZ) on February 5, 2013. Upon closing of the agreement, Marubeni will contribute approximately $225 million to fund capital expenditures. The deal is expected to close during the second quarter of 2013.
